Now, we're looking for a Lead QA Engineer who will work closely with our QA team and with internal and external stakeholders.
The Role:
As a Lead QA you will be responsible for managing and supporting the QA team in testing the product through the whole development lifecycle and shipping the best quality product possible. The role will include designing and managing both manual and automated testing. You will act as an advocate for QA best practices and drive initiatives to improve test and QA processes, extend the use of tools/frameworks (where appropriate) and support the development of the QA function.
Responsibilities:
- Implement frameworks and best practice processes to support the shipping of great products whilst working in an agile environment
- Organise, manage and support the QA team, advocating excellence and providing guidance and mentorship
- Design/write test plans, acceptance criteria, scenarios, scripts, checklists and procedures
- Execute test scripts using manual and automated methods as appropriate and interpret the results accordingly
- Define, build and maintain a test automation capability
- Plan and execute testing around the product stories and bugs
- Oversee the maintenance of the LoveAdmin Dev-ops environment
- Support the setup and management of test environments and data
- Report, document and verify technical/quality issues
- Test within Agile scrum/kanban teams
- Participate in sprint stand-ups, demos, retrospectives and other required ceremonies
- Work with product to ensure delivered work covers quality and meets the desired outcomes
- Work with support investigating quality related customer complaints
Desired Skills:
- Extensive experience in software development testing
- Demonstrable experience in requirement analysis, test case design and test case execution
- Experience of testing web-based / SaaS / eCommerce applications
- Proficiency in computer technology and programming languages
- Experience using DevOps and BrowserStack
- Proficient using Git
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and patience are essential
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Great team player with strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work independently
- ISTQB Foundation certification preferred but not essential
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium IDE is an advantage
