Duration: 6 month contract

Role:

Our client, a leading defence and aerospace company, is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team in Luton on a contract basis. The software baseline has a number of pre-identified bugs and issues that need to be investigated, resolved, tested, and released.

We are looking for someone who has the following skills:

• Examples of having delivered into a client's Agile Development environment.
• Developing and updating Modern C++ software in a real-time embedded environment on target hardware.
• Familiar with debugging software on target hardware in a lab environment.
• Have an understanding of different software development methodologies, tools, and compilers.
• Understanding and application of software design methodologies and best practices including Object-Oriented, SOLID design principles, and use of recognised design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of the software engineering lifecycle including awareness of the latest continuous integration and continuous delivery techniques.

Experience and understanding of development to RTCA/DO-178B is desired.
