Location: Lake District, Cumbria

Our client is a market leading business that is looking for a Lead Developer to manage a development team of 4. The role is mainly office based, so they are looking for someone who either currently lives in (or near to) the Lake District, or someone who is looking to relocate to the area. They are seeking a talented individual proficient in C#, React, and API .NET Core

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using C#, React, and API .NET Core.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Utilise SOLID principles, MVC architecture, and best practices to create scalable and maintainable code.
  • Implement and integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless communication between different system components.
  • Work to best practices in UI/UX desig to implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces using SASS and Node.js.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards through code reviews.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending best practices and tools to enhance development processes.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Software Developer with expertise in C#, React, and API .NET Core.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Extensive experience with C#, .NET Core.
  • Strong knowledge of API development and integration.
  • Familiarity with SOLID principles, MVC architecture, and modern software design patterns.
  • Experience working with legacy code and refactoring techniques.
