Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - £48,500 DOE

Orion is partnered with a well-established manufacturing business located in Basingstoke, which is recruiting for a highly skilled electrically biased Maintenance Engineer.

Shifts:

• 2x shift rotational pattern mixture of days and nights.
• Only 3-4 weekends worked in a year MAXIMUM.
• 12-hour shifts.

Experience:

• Must be electrically biased and hold a UK recognised engineering qualification in electrical engineering.
• Must have the right to work long term in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
• Must have a full UK driver's licence.
• Must have experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Must have multi-skilled experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong machinery maintenance experience.
• Experience with PLCs.
• Strong communication skills.
• Continuous improvement experience and mindset.
• Machinery installation experience.
• Experience with sensors, panel boards, motors, relays, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the Maintenance team with reactive and planned maintenance.
• Electrical and mechanical machinery installation & modifications.
• Electrical and mechanical machinery maintenance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Carry out autonomous and preventative maintenance tasks competently and correctly, recording work carried out in appropriate documentation.
• Ensure handovers between shifts are detailed and add value.

Qualifications/Experience:

• ONC/HNC or equivalent in Engineering (ideally electrical).
• 18th Edition.
• FMCG Experience.
