You’ll have an impact on bringing digital-first banking to our customers by defining the future state architecture vision and strategies for our Global Businesses and Global Functions.

You’ll be developing business, data, software, and integration architecture standards to manage processes, systems, and technology complexity across the HSBC Group. Through dynamic, agile collaboration you’ll work closely with business partners to translate their requirements into integrated solutions that can be deployed globally using consistent service patterns for ease of deployment, support, and enhancement.

In this role, you will:

1. Experience working in large scale IT transformation programmes and manage end-to-end solution design
2. Responsible for delivering architecture design documents in line with functional and non-functional business requirements, strategies, principles, standards, and patterns
3. Presenting and sharing solutions to design authorities and senior leadership & stakeholders.
4. Experience working in large-scale IT transformation programmes
5. Able to communicate clearly with non-security technical SMEs at a comfortable level
6. Effectively manage and escalate both technical and project risks or issues.
7. Ensures all high-level designs, architecture patterns, decision records, deviation requests, and technical risks or issue records undergo architectural and project governance processes

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

1. MFA protocols such as TOTP, HOTP, WebAuthn, and FIDO2, and familiarity with authentication standards like SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
2. MFA Security Policies: Proficiency in designing and enforcing MFA security policies, including adaptive authentication, conditional access, and risk-based authentication to protect against evolving threats.
3. Proven experience and knowledge of Identity & Access Management
4. Experience in BizzDesign, Archi, or generic UML visualisation experience for high-level designs
5. Advanced level experience in Jira for project & tasks management
6. Excellent command of cybersecurity organisation practices, operations risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering threats and vulnerabilities including incident response methodologies

This role is based in Sheffield, Birmingham, Leeds, Chester or Edinburgh.
