We are seeking a Lead Psychedelic Session Monitor for our London clinical research site to support clinical trials investigating innovative treatments for mental health disorders. The initial trial will focus on Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), with potential for involvement in future studies investigating other conditions. This position represents an opportunity to work at the forefront of mental health treatment research, specifically in the emerging field of psychedelic-assisted therapy.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Graduate-level professional training and clinical experience in psychotherapy with independent practice licensure
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum one year of clinical experience in a mental healthcare setting

Additionally, all candidates must demonstrate:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish therapeutic rapport
  • Experience working with patients with mental health conditions
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and handle confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current license to practice therapy independently in the UK
  • Prior training in psychedelic facilitation from well-established programs (such as MAPS, CIIS, Compass, MindMed, academic institutions, non-profit organizations, or other industry-sponsored programs)
  • Experience in clinical research settings
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development

Professional Development and Training

  • Comprehensive psychedelic-assisted therapy training provided at no cost (candidates without prior psychedelic facilitation training will complete Fluence's Applied Mindfulness for Psychedelic Therapists course as part of their training program)
  • Access to ongoing clinical consultation throughout the study period
  • Participation in study-specific monthly peer consultation groups
  • Opportunity to work at the forefront of mental health research

Position Details

  • Contract term: Estimated to begin mid-2025, with initial trial duration of 84 days from first patient dosing
  • Potential for contract renewal based on future study involvement
  • Compensation structure:
    • Dosing sessions: £800 per day
    • Preparation and integration sessions: £200 per hour
  • Flexible scheduling with advance notice of session requirements
  • Some preparation and integration sessions may be conducted remotely
  • Location: Re:Cognition Health London Clinical Research Site
