Lead Programmer (Unreal Engine)

Blue Dot Games is seeking an experienced lead programmer to head up a multi-disciplinary team of coders working on the title ’83 (https://83thegame.com). We are a small, friendly and ambitious team with big plans. Could you be part of these plans?

A successful applicant for this role will have at least one year’s experience of leading programmers from a variety of disciplines: technical, network, interface and gameplay. They will have been coding for Unreal for at least 5 years.

The candidate will be experienced in establishing effective pipelines through collaboration with the producer and design lead. The candidate will have a track record in guiding junior staff, evaluating deadline feasibility and ensuring that the game meets PC rec spec and minspec requirements.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable and extensive experience of working on released titles in UE4+.

Familiarity with Dev Ops in a small studio setting is a bonus.

The team will be remote, so effective communication and leadership skills in an all-remote setting are required.
