Lead Platform Engineer - Hybrrid

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Lead Platform Engineer to join our client's team as they embark on the largest transformation in their history. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of building and evolving their cutting-edge Digital Platform to be scalable, secure, and compliant with both internal and industry regulations, while meeting strict availability standards. You will also manage and optimize change processes across technology systems, ensuring efficient release frequencies, reduced lead times, lower failure rates, and faster issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document and automate current processes using your own code and/or third-party software tools
• Collaborate with Engineering and Architecture teams to design, build, and optimize Cloud Infrastructure, including PaaS in Azure and SaaS components like Salesforce
• Work closely with internal service providers and product teams to improve the speed and reliability of end-to-end solutions and CICD processes
• Design, build, operate, monitor, and alert on technology for large, complex multi-site B2C and B2B applications
• Create thorough, repeatable documentation and software for all actions
• Improve and automate operational processes such as deployments, upgrades, and internal workflows
• Work with internal customers to manage the lifecycle of your SRE products (e.g., monitoring, alerting, software)

What You'll Bring:

• Expertise in complex Salesforce environments; experience with Copado for CI/CD is a plus
• Strong, hands-on experience with a leading cloud PaaS, preferably Azure
• Familiarity with Linux and shell environments
• Experience with key infrastructure platforms and services (Azure, Nginx, HAProxy, Consul/etcd, Splunk)
• Knowledge of containerisation systems like Kubernetes and Docker is a plus
• Experience with Azure DevOps and multi-stage pipelines for managing large-scale software estates, covering build, release, monitoring, rollbacks, and high availability
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/3, AMQP, streaming protocols) and cloud network design (VPNs, subnets, regions/zones), along with integration technologies (Auth0, APIM, etc.)
• Expertise in relational, graph, and document databases, and familiarity with various consistency models
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
