Lead Pharmacist - Oncology & Haematology Services

The salary for this permanent Lead Pharmacist job is £68,000 per annum.

Main Duties:

  1. As a key member of the Pharmacy Senior Management Team, you will contribute to the development and achievement of departmental objectives, assisting with both operational and governance matters. The post-holder will uphold and advance the highest standards of patient-focused care, ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines.
  2. The post-holder will have line management responsibilities for members of the Pharmacy team and will collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues on various quality and process improvement projects.
  3. Additionally, the post-holder will work closely with the Deputy Pharmacy Manager for the London Bridge Hospital Campus, representing the pharmacy within the hospital, corporately, and externally.

Requirements of the Lead Pharmacist:

  1. Registration: Must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  2. Education: Postgraduate diploma or master's degree in clinical pharmacy, or equivalent qualification.
  3. Specialist Knowledge: Expertise in oncology, aseptic production, and haematology is essential.
  4. Experience: Extensive experience in the aforementioned specialist areas.
  5. Hospital Experience: Proven experience working within a hospital setting.
  6. Management Experience: Previous management experience is essential.
