Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a Lead Officer to join their expanding Design, Contracts and Delivery Section. This role involves providing technical design and AutoCAD support for highway schemes in a dynamic, profit-driven environment. You will be responsible for undertaking and supervising highway infrastructure designs, preparing NEC4 contract documents, and supporting project management efforts. Job description

An opportunity has become available for a Lead Officer, working within the Design, Contracts and Delivery Section.

Design Contracts and Delivery are a rapidly expanding team and are instrumental in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects within Cardiff.

About the Job

The post will be required to provide technical design and AutoCad support in a profit-driven, high-pressure environment, delivering highway schemes for Cardiff and surrounding authorities.

What We Are Looking For From You

We are looking for a motivated individual who can work as an individual or as part of a team to deliver highway infrastructure projects.

Some of the main requirements of the role will be:

  1. Undertake highway infrastructure designs (concept and detailed design)
  2. Supervise and check team members' designs (concept and detailed design)
  3. Provide technical support for scheme design (concept and detailed design)
  4. Provide technical support for the preparation of contract documents, bills of quantities, reports, including tender evaluations.
  5. Prepare NEC4 contract documents for tender
  6. Support project management of the delivery of work.

You will require a full, valid driving licence.
