AfC Band 7 (pro rata) plus a High Secure Environmental Allowance of £1,679.10 per annum (pro rata) and a High Secure Clinical Responsibility Allowance of £4,030.01 per annum (pro rata)

Post Details – An exciting job share opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Lead Occupational Therapist at the State Hospital. You will be responsible for the clinical and managerial leadership of an innovative and progressive Forensic Mental Health Occupational Therapy service, ensuring provision of a quality service to patients and providing leadership to senior and junior staff through supervision and appraisal. The post-holder will develop and implement service changes and act as a specialist resource. It is an exciting time to join the Occupational Therapy team, with the implementation of a new clinical model and the development of multi-disciplinary patient care pathways that you will help to shape.
We have a dedicated Occupational Therapy Service forming part of a larger supportive Allied Health Professions Team based in a purpose built hospital located in a rural Lanarkshire. We are commutable from most major towns and cities and offer great facilities, supervision/support, CPD and development opportunities.
Experience – You will have a BSc in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) with current HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist. The post holder will have postgraduate expertise within the forensic specialty and a management qualification or equivalent gained through experience and continuous professional development. You will have excellent leadership and communication skills and have a proven record of service development and evaluation.
