The Intensive Residential Outreach Care (IROC) service is an integrated multi-disciplinary approach providing the right support for CYP in placement with complex psychological and significant mental health needs.
This provision is hosted by TOUCAN (West Midlands CAMHS Provider Collaborative). The IROC service has recently been independently reviewed, and we have carefully considered key stakeholder feedback and recommendations. We are now in a better position to use the evidence to drive integrated health and social care-working. Intensive Residential Outreach Care (IROC) is an enhanced systems support service that offers relational and trauma-informed approaches to support children and young people who present with the most complex psychological, emotional and behavioural distress in residential placement. IROC champions multi-agency integrated care planning to improve outcomes for children and young people in CAMHS services.
The post-holder will champion the IROC agenda working closely alongside the Clinical Leads within IROC. Together we provide expert knowledge and advice. You will contribute alongside the team for the implementation of key procedural changes to improve the pathways and experience of CYP in crisis ensuring that training, supervision and specialist help is available to frontline clinical staff working with clinical complexity.
The post holder will be an experienced nurse leader in CAMHS, who can support the assessment and formulation of clinical care across complex settings including crisis care and community residential. The post-holder will be key in maintaining sustainable and meaningful relationships with key multi-agency partners at a system regional level.
The post holder will be responsible along with the clinical leads and wider MDT team for the implementation of key procedural changes to improve the pathways and experience of complex CYP, providing both clinical and operational leadership.
