An established industry player is seeking a highly motivated Lead Nurse to join their team in Glasgow. We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced nurse to support nursing leadership as a Lead Nurse within the North Sector. You will inspire others and lead by example, promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement which values continuous professional development and strives for excellence in all aspects of the delivery of patient care.
The post holder is required to engage with a large and highly developed clinical workforce, and is responsible for the overall professional, managerial and accountability for the nursing service within the medical receiving wards and the medical High Dependency Unit at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
The Lead Nurse role is a pivotal role in the management team across the Emergency Care Medicine Services directorate, working independently and in conjunction with other lead nurses, consultant colleagues and service management. We are also looking for strong influencing and leadership qualities and a track record of success in delivery and collaborative working. The principal objective of the post is to lead, inspire, direct and promote systemic improvements in Clinical Care and Healthcare Quality to the nursing teams. The post holder will have clinical, budgetary and line management responsibility across their designated area.
As an experienced registered nurse with a first degree and post graduate Master’s Degree, or equivalent experience, you will have demonstrable management experience in the NHS.
Working Monday-Friday based onsite at the GRI.
