A UK-based cloud consultancy is currently on the lookout for an experienced Lead Network Engineer to join their hybrid team in offices across the Central Belt/East Coast of Scotland, or Northern England/London.
They have vast experience and expertise in the cloud space across the UK with a heavy presence in their market, where they offer a range of services and tailored solutions for their customers.
The role itself requires an experienced Network Engineer to guide the Network team through various projects and day-to-day networking tasks. These include assisting with the design and planning of network solutions, supporting both customers and internal teams with network device troubleshooting, and looking after their multi-datacentre UK network. You will play a vital role in the business as you continue to lead and develop their NOC.
It requires someone with experience in a lead/senior role with light team leader skills who feels confident enough to drive the network team forward and mentor engineers in the process. Essentially, you'll be leading the team to achieve both strategic and operational goals.
It's worth noting that the role also includes some on-call support. One week out of every four, you will be available as a 24/7 escalation point for the on-call team to deal with any difficult queries which the team needs to escalate.
