The Lead Mechanical Engineer role offers an exciting technical challenge with an industry pioneer, working on a variety of pioneering EPC projects in the UK. As part of a dynamic and growing team, you will be responsible for designing mechanical systems for energy transition projects critical to infrastructure. The projects you will lead are valued between £10m and £70m and are central to meeting both national and international energy needs.

This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking to step into a lead role and take on responsibility in a challenging, high-profile environment. You will be in a position to add value while working on some of the most innovative and complex engineering projects in the UK.

The Role:

• Lead Mechanical Engineer for a major nuclear infrastructure project
• Oversee and deliver mechanical designs within budget and schedule
• Ensure effective execution of all mechanical and piping engineering aspects
• Work across multidisciplinary teams to support the successful delivery of the project
• Long-term contract opportunity

The Person:

• Strong knowledge of static and rotating mechanical equipment in Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Pharmaceutical industries
• Experience with piping design codes: ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, and BS EN 13480
• Proficient in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Plant3D, E3D/PDMS, and Caesar II
• More than 5 years of experience as a Lead/Senior Engineer within an EPCM/EPC environment
• Ability to lead, interface with stakeholders, and ensure project success
