Job Title: Lead Mammographer And Breast Service Lead

Department: Mammography

Location: Cromwell Hospital, 164-178 Cromwell Road, Kensington SW5 0TU

Permanent / Contract: 12 months Fixed Term Contract

Salary range: £Competitive

Full time/part time: Full-Time, 37.50 hours per week

The Cromwell Hospital

The Cromwell Hospital is our state-of-the-art internationally renowned multi-disciplinary hospital, offering some of the most technologically advanced treatments and complex surgical care.

We have a patient-centered approach to our services, offering a range of services including diagnostics and therapies, inpatient and outpatient surgical and medical wards, CDU, AICU, pediatrics (in/out patients), theatres, and pharmacy, to name but a few.

You’ll help us make health happen by:

The Breast Services Lead will have overall responsibility for the planning and delivery of current and future services that are responsive to the needs of patients and the organization within available resources, underpinned by relevant specialist knowledge and skills.

You’ll provide clinical expertise, operational and strategic business planning, and leadership to the Cromwell Hospital, Basinghall Clinic, and London Medical mammography departments, ensuring compliance with all appropriate policies and procedures.

You’ll work in collaboration with the wider radiology team and modalities including MRI, Nuclear Medicine, General X-Ray, CT, Administration Team, and Radiotherapy staff to provide a comprehensive, effective, and safe service.

You’ll also have proven professional experience in managing QA, audits, incidents, and complaint management.

It is essential that you are fully trained and conversant with SECTRA PACs/RIS.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  1. BSc in Radiography (essential)
  2. Registered to practice HCPC – Health Care Professional Council (essential)
  3. Substantial postgraduate experience in radiology at senior level, including CT (essential)
  4. Ability to manage the clinical and technical environment requiring knowledge of the scientific, clinical, technical, and physical environment and requirements relevant to the delivery of modern and effective clinical imaging services.
  5. Cannulation
