Surveillance and Regulatory Technology is responsible for delivering solutions that protect the bank's financial and reputational interests from potentially criminal or inappropriate behavior by our clients, employees, vendors. It enables the bank to manage its compliance to regulations and the risk appetite to stay in business in the various legislation. In addition, the function is responsible for driving improvement across the IT delivery cycle through adoption of best practices, automation tooling and metrics, as well as developing a target state DevOps capability.

Your key responsibilities:- Providing technical guidance, setting architectural standards and overseeing the development process to ensure the best practices are followed
- Collaborating closely with the squad PO to plan, prioritise and manage engineering tasks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meeting the quality expectations
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers, fostering skill development and promoting a learning and collaborative environment
- Conducting Code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and maintaining a high-quality codebase
- Working closely with Technology Lead, PO, Architects and Product Managers to align on technical goals with the business objectives
- Staying updated on emerging technologies and driving initiatives for process improvements, system scalability, and performance enhancements
Your skills and experience:- Good experience with Java 11+
- Ability to design and build distributed systems / microservices in a resilient, reliable way with low latency
- Ability to test your application thoroughly
- Working knowledge with relational databases
- Spring boot, spring core, spring data JPA
- We would also appreciate experience in Kafka, MQ, REST, GCP, BDD, OpenAPI, NoSQL & SQL DB's & Maven
