Eaton's Aerospace business in Bedhampton, Hampshire currently has an opportunity for a Lead Engineer in Electronics Engineering with analogue and digital electronics design/development experience. This position works within a medium sized technical team of Mechanical, Design and Test engineers reporting to the site Engineering manager – supporting the manufacturing plant and the FMC (Fuel and Motion Control) division. The Lead Engineer will have in depth knowledge of analogue, digital and power electronics and associated tools for design, development, and implementation of products.
Excellent organizational & communication skills are also vital as the role will involve working on high profile aerospace projects. The Lead Engineer will have Aerospace product development experience in both commercial as well as the military sector. The Lead Engineer will have working knowledge of aerospace standards DO-160 and DO-254, and also knowledge of OEM customer practices and regulations. The role also requires working knowledge of Design for Six Sigma principles as well as Design for Manufacturability principles in electronic product development.
