NEW PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE FOR A LEAD DEVOPS ENGINEER IN MANCHESTER

Central Manchester Location with hybrid working options. Close proximity to multiple tram stops and nearby train station. £85,000 to £95,000 plus clearance bonus, performance bonus and benefits.

We are recruiting for a leading technology and engineering consultancy known for delivering cutting-edge technical solutions to National Security and Defence clients. With over 50 years of expertise and heritage, they are at the forefront of innovation in data science, AI, and machine learning. Due to ongoing growth and over 8 years of secured work, they are looking for a talented Data Science Engineer to join their team and work on mission-critical data services.

WHAT WILL THE LEAD DEVOPS ENGINEER BE DOING?
As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will work with National Security customers and teams to deploy, integrate and support highly critical live solutions. You will work on a range of engagements with customers to deploy innovative platforms and applications.

THE LEAD DEVOPS ENGINEER SHOULD HAVE….

1. DV clearance; we can’t accept applications without DV clearance at this time.
2. Containerisation using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm or Openshift.
3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform or Ansible.
4. Coding experience with backend languages like Java, Python, Go and/or Rust.
5. Experience leading teams, technical decisions, and customer engagements.

IT WOULD BE NICE FOR THE LEAD DEVOPS ENGINEER TO HAVE….

1. AWS experience or cloud-based data science solutions.
2. MLops or DataOps experience.
3. A great attitude towards new and innovative ways to utilise technology.
