About the Role

As the Lead Design Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the structural design meets the programme's airworthiness and product requirements. You'll be responsible for defining, delivering, and enabling technical studies, trades, and investigations to provide the best technical solutions.

Collaborating with internal and external designers, you'll demonstrate design leadership and ownership of Lean Engineering improvements, such as 'Right First Time' and Lead Time Reduction. Your ability to organise and govern design and maturity reviews will be essential in driving the project's success.



Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this Lead Design Engineer role will have a strong track record of leading design or project teams, tackling complex challenges, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You'll need to possess design approval and authorisation signatory capabilities, as well as experience with design toolsets like CATIA V5, ICC, Zamiz, ECM, Solings, and PASS. Your problem-solving skills, risk management expertise, and ability to influence decision-making will be crucial in this role.
