Job description

As a Lead Data Analyst, you will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists to ensure accurate and effective data-driven decision-making. You will be responsible for uncovering data insights, ensuring data quality, and developing compelling reports and visualisations that drive strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Requirements & Data Discovery

  1. Collaborate with stakeholders to define use cases, success criteria, and data-driven opportunities.
  2. Work with data engineers to identify and ingest necessary data sources.

Data Validation & Quality Control

  1. Conduct data profiling, anomaly detection, and data cleansing.
  2. Implement data quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  3. Create dashboards, reports, and visualisations to present key insights.
  4. Effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  5. Act as the key liaison between technical teams and business units.
  6. Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate clear communication.

Key Skills:

  1. Understanding of relational data modelling, data flow diagrams, and ETL/ELT processes.
  2. Proficiency in SQL and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  3. Basic experience with Python or R for data exploration.
  4. Strong statistical knowledge to interpret patterns, trends, and relationships.
  5. Ability to transform data findings into actionable business insights.
