ROLE: Lead Construction Manager
LOCATION: Gatwick - Hybrid
SALARY: Circa Up to £100,000 + 5% Welcome Bonus + £7,500 Flex Allowance + up to 30% Bonus + Benefits

THE JOB
This exciting Lead Construction Manager job based at their offices in Gatwick is a permanent opportunity. Reporting directly to the Head of the Project Management Office and collaborating closely with their Senior Leadership and Executive teams, as a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for establishing and enforcing all safety and quality processes and procedures, whilst leading the growth and development of the Construction Management team, recognising those with high potential. With extensive experience handling complex challenges, you will drive continuous improvements, ensuring operational excellence and best practices across the team.
Your duties will include:
- Ensuring construction management requirements for reporting, auditing and reviews are clearly defined.
- Developing indicators of construction delivery effectiveness and efficiency to drive continuous improvement.
- Identifying and delivering efficiencies across the Construction Management team in how resources are allocated.
- Identifying and applying relevant lessons learnt and/or best practice into the associated construction management process and procedures.
- Identifying best practices for Project Execution Planning and ensuring that plans are produced at an appropriate time and level of detail for every project.
- Supporting project teams on the constructability of planned projects.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A Degree or equivalent, in a relevant engineering, construction or business-related field.
- Significant experience of construction management on large infrastructure projects, within a live environment.
- Demonstrable experience leading and developing small teams of up to ten people.
- Significant experience of applying construction techniques & managing constructability issues.
- Excellent understanding and experience in quality management.
- Experience working to ISO 9001 or equivalent, and designing business processes for the delivery of capital projects.
- Chartered Member of a recognised Engineering Institution (highly desirable).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- In-depth knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations within the Construction industry.
