The appointments are due to commence in time for the start of the 2025/26 season.
Yeovil and Sherborne Hockey Club is a friendly, community club with players of all ages and standards up to national level. We attract players from a wide area and offer quality coaching and playing opportunities. The club has 3 Men’s Teams in the Men’s West Hockey league and 4 Ladies Teams – 3 are in the West Clubs Women’s Hockey League and 1 is a Development Team playing friendly matches on Sundays. We also have a thriving mixed Masters group meeting up weekly to play hockey and socialise together. There are over 150 children in the Junior section of the club with U14’s, U12’s and U10’s Boys and Girls teams playing in regular local inter-club matches and County/Regional tournaments.
We currently have a dedicated, enthusiastic team of 7 Lead Coaches who take responsibility for different age groups/teams within the club (with support from volunteer assistant coaches). We require new Lead Coaches to take responsibility for our Ladies and Men’s 1ST teams which will provide a great opportunity for the successful applicant(s) to provide high quality coaching support for teams seeking promotion next year. Our Ladies squad training sessions take place on Tuesday evenings and our Men’s training sessions take place on Wednesday evenings from August to March at the Yeovil Recreation Centre Artificial Hockey Pitch at Mudford Recreation Ground in the centre of Yeovil.
