Are you ready to take the lead in our Civil Engineering Services team? As a Lead Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the success of our project in London, United Kingdom or Paris, France. Join us on a full-time contract basis from 13-01-2025 to 12-01-2026 and showcase your expertise in civil engineering, microstation, and feed design.

Role Overview

  • Oversee the performance of the FEED CTR on time and on budget FEED deliverable submission for your scope of work.
  • Lead the civil engineering discipline for the ABSHERON CFT plant and ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Review mechanical, structural, and civil analysis to support FEED designs.
  • Check compliance of design with scope and quality requirements.
  • Oversee studies for CPF and design of civil infrastructure, including event mitigation, water and wastewater conveyance and treatment, road access, and early work land preparation.
  • Analyze, design, and detail engineering of plant/non-plant buildings, pipe racks, foundations, liquid retaining structures, equipment foundations for fabricated and rotating equipment, paving, roads, dikes, ring wall & tank foundations, etc.
  • Review and assess piling and civil foundation strategy.
  • Prepare, check/review, and approve conceptual studies, designs, and detailed project drawings, proposals, design criteria & specifications.
  • Review final design documents in CADD software including MicroStation and apply Caltrans design guidelines.
  • Assist in determining schedule and budget requirements and prepare draft cost estimates.
  • Review design calculations documents.
  • Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
  • Possess strong experience in onshore civil engineering and be able to identify, control, and manage risks related to your scope of work.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Civil Engineering: Expertise in civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Microstation: Proficiency in using Microstation software for design and drafting.
  • Feed Design: Experience in front-end engineering design (FEED) for oil and gas projects.
  • Onshore Civil Engineering: Strong knowledge of onshore civil engineering practices and regulations.
  • Mechanical, Structural, and Civil Analysis: Ability to review and analyze mechanical, structural, and civil designs.
  • Compliance with Design Scope and Quality Requirements: Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Studies for CPF and Design of Civil Infrastructure: Experience in conducting studies for central processing facilities (CPF) and designing civil infrastructure.
  • Event Mitigation: Knowledge of mitigating potential risks during project execution.
  • Water and Wastewater Conveyance and Treatment: Understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Road Access: Familiarity with road access design for industrial projects.
  • Early Work Land Preparation: Experience in preparing land for construction activities.
  • Analysis, Design, Detail Engineering: Proficiency in analyzing, designing, and detailing various civil structures.
  • Plant/Non-Plant Buildings: Knowledge of designing buildings for industrial projects.
  • Pipe Racks: Understanding of pipe rack design for oil and gas facilities.
  • Foundations: Experience in designing foundations for various structures.
  • Liquid Retaining Structures: Familiarity with designing structures to retain liquids.
  • Equipment Foundations: Ability to design foundations for fabricated and rotating equipment.
  • Paving: Knowledge of designing paving structures for industrial projects.
  • Dikes: Understanding of dike design for oil and gas facilities.
  • Ring Wall & Tank Foundations: Experience in designing foundations for tanks and ring walls.
  • Piling and Civil Foundation Strategy: Ability to review and assess piling and foundation strategies.
  • Preparation, Check/Review, Approve Conceptual Studies: Experience in preparing, checking/reviewing, and approving conceptual studies for civil engineering projects.
  • Design Criteria & Specifications: Familiarity with designing criteria and specifications for various structures.
  • Final Design Documents in CADD Software Including Microstation: Proficiency in using CADD software for final design documentation.
  • Application of Caltrans Design Guidelines: Knowledge of applying Caltrans design guidelines for project designs.
  • Schedule and Budget Requirements Determination: Ability to assist in determining project schedule and budget requirements.
  • Draft Cost Estimates Preparation: Experience in preparing draft cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
  • Design Calculations Review: Proficiency in reviewing design calculations documents.
  • Environmental Principles: Understanding of environmental principles, practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and current country legislative issues.
  • Work Classifications: Knowledge of work classifications and regulatory/statutory restrictions.

Education & Experience

  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Experience within Project: Minimum 15 years of experience in onshore civil engineering projects.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
