Lead Auditor

Purpose of the Job

1. To assist the Audit and Certification Manager in defining, planning, and delivering the Corporate Audit Plan.
2. To plan, conduct, and report on internal and external audits.
3. To provide subject matter expertise to all Business Lines, Operations, Projects, and Functions in relation to the ISO 9001:2015.
4. To conduct Supplier Assessments and Report.
5. To audit internal operations against the Nuvia Quality Management System.
6. To audit Nuvia's suppliers and monitor their performance through defined KPI's.

Reporting in Line

1. Reporting to the Audit and Certification Manager.

Key Accountabilities

1. Working collaboratively and proactively with third party audit bodies (e.g. Lloyds, BSI, and Nuvia's Client Base).
2. Delivery of Audits as specified within the Nuvia Corporate Quality Audit Plan.
3. Conducting Project Quality Health Checks as defined by the Audit and Certification Manager.
4. Engagement with Nuclear Sector Regulators.
5. Engagement with Standards Bodies (e.g. British Standards Institution).
6. Tracking Non-Conformances (NC's) to successful resolution.
7. Generation and reporting of Audit Metrics to the Head of Quality.

Competence Profile

1. ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Qualification (Essential).
2. Previous experience in ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Roles (Nuclear Sector preferred but not essential).
3. ISO 45001 (Desirable but not essential).
4. ISO 14001 (Desirable but not essential).
5. CQI or IRCA Membership (or a willingness/ability to obtain within 12 months of starting) is Essential.
6. Extensive experience of stakeholder engagement with internal and external clients.
7. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
8. Good Analytical Computer and IT Skills are Essential.

4. Good analytical skills (Quality and Statistical).

7. Whilst the role is essentially office-based, hybrid arrangements will be considered once satisfactory probationary period has been completed.
8. Flexibility in working hours will be required to meet demands of the role.
9. Ability to travel within the UK to client and supplier sites is also an expectation of this role.

Employment, Educational and Professional Background

Education:

1. Level 3 Qualification minimum. Can include A Levels in Science or Mathematics based subjects, ONC, TEC, or T Level in Engineering, Technical, or Scientific based Subjects.

Previous Employment:

1. Experience working within a highly regulated industry is essential to this role. This position is suited to someone who has a technical/scientific background and who has subsequently moved into the Quality Management and Audit Profession.

Professional Background:

1. Membership of (or the ability to achieve) Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) or the International Register of Certified Auditors is required for this role.
