We're working on several exciting projects and are seeking a Lead Animator to join our team, based here in the UK.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with directors to deliver high quality animations to support gameplay
Develop and maintain the animation pipeline
Provide mentoring and guidance to the animation team, planning tasks and reviewing work
Being a point of contact for other disciplines and support teams when required
Help develop animation blueprints in Unreal Engine 4/5
Identify in-engine animation issues and find adequate solutions
Research and develop new techniques to push animation quality
Deliver high standard benchmark animations as a quality guide for the team
What we’re looking for
A minimum of 7 years games industry experience
Excellent organisation, time management and communication skills
Create high quality key-frame animation of humans and creatures
Solid understanding of the motion capture process from shooting to editing
Self-motivated and organised
Capable of planning and delivering schedules
Expert knowledge of Maya
Deep technical knowledge of modern animation pipelines and workflows for game development
A proven understanding of body mechanics and physicality for humans, creatures and animal movement
An understanding of the rigging and skinning process
Ability to implement animations in engine working with animation blueprints or equivalent
Be able to give and receive feedback in a professional manner
