The Team

The Private Equity team is highly regarded for its expertise across mid-market transactions and its broad experience advising private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and management teams. The team regularly works on a variety of matters, including buyouts, minority and majority investments, corporate advisory, and exit strategies. Recognised for their innovative and collaborative approach, the team delivers practical and efficient solutions to clients in a fast-paced, competitive market.

The firm’s global reach, combined with its strong presence in the London market, provides an ideal platform for working on cross-border deals and engaging with a diverse range of sectors, including professional services, technology, and healthcare.

The Role

The successful candidate will be advising on a wide array of private equity matters, including leading and managing key aspects of transactions from start to finish. This role provides the opportunity to work directly with clients and take on significant responsibility, making strategic contributions to major deals. You will assist in the structuring, negotiation, and execution of transactions, focusing on mid-market private equity deals, while collaborating with other practice areas to deliver seamless legal services.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising private equity sponsors and portfolio companies on acquisitions, investments, exits, and corporate governance
• Managing transaction processes, including buyouts, minority/majority investments, and bolt-ons
• Drafting and negotiating key transaction documentation, such as shareholder agreements and purchase agreements
• Providing ongoing corporate advisory support to portfolio companies and management teams
• Collaborating with cross-practice teams to address complex legal issues and ensure smooth execution of deals

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 3-6 PQE within a reputable private equity or corporate practice. The successful applicant should demonstrate:

• Strong experience in private equity transactions, including acquisitions, buyouts, and exits
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage complex transactions
• A collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills
• Experience working on cross-border transactions is desirable
• Client-focused with a commercial mindset and ability to provide practical solutions

Candidates MUST be a qualified solicitor, ideally qualified in England & Wales or a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
