Job description

Two well established law firms based in Somerset are seeking motivated and talented Law Graduates to join their Property Law teams. These roles offer exciting opportunities for law graduates to gain valuable experience in a range of property law matters, working with experienced professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment.

The successful candidates will assist in providing legal support across various property-related transactions, including residential and commercial property, conveyancing, landlord and tenant issues, and property disputes. They will work closely with senior solicitors, assisting with case management, legal research, drafting documentation, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support on a wide range of property law matters, including buying, selling, leasing, and managing property.
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, leases, transfer agreements, and other property-related paperwork.
  • Conduct legal research into relevant property law legislation and case law.
  • Liaise with clients, agents, surveyors, and other third parties to ensure the smooth running of property transactions.
  • Manage case files, ensuring all documents are accurate and up to date.
  • Provide general administrative support to senior solicitors and other team members.
  • Attend client meetings, take notes, and help with case-related queries under the supervision of a qualified solicitor.
  • Assist with the preparation of legal reports and correspondence to clients.
  • Ensure all work complies with professional and regulatory standards.

Essential Requirements:

  • A recent Law Graduate (LLB or equivalent qualification).
  • A strong interest in property law and the desire to develop a career in this area.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive approach to learning and development.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.

You must be based in Somerset to be considered for these roles. One role is based in Taunton and the other near Crewkerne.
