We have an amazing opportunity for a Laundry Assistant to join our caring and support team at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, our specialist centre in Kent, where we look after adults with a brain injury or other neurological conditions.

Set within the 12-acre grounds of a manor house, we specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care.

We are looking for an attentive Laundry Attendant to support the functions of our establishment and the needs of our patients and service users.

A Laundry Attendant’s responsibilities include cleaning and folding laundry as needed, ensuring personal belongings are returned to the correct individuals and in good repair, and planning maintenance of laundry equipment and other duties around the facility.

Ultimately, you will play a crucial role in the presentation of the establishment by ensuring all laundry is well cared for and maintained within a reasonable time.

What you'll be working:

Part time - 22 hours per week

Hours to be negotiated at interview - 9am to 3pm

What you'll be doing:

• Sorting, washing, drying, and folding clothing and other textile items
• Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures
• Maintaining people's personal belongings to a high standard

What you'll have:

• Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
