Laser Machine Programmer Engineer required to join a well-established Manufacturing company based in the Milton Keynes area, that specialise in supplying service for a range of industries including railway, automotive, aerospace, construction, MOD & security, industrial, marine and power.

Laser Machine Programmer Job Overview

Programming the laser cutting machines.
Ensuring the flat form from the laser cutter will fold up to drawing in line with bend allowances and tooling available.
Development of laser cutting techniques.
Programming and nesting - ensuring optimum use of materials.
Management and control of laser programs.
Mentoring and development of existing laser operators.
Raise shop floor paper work such as Work Orders ensuring route cards are correct.
Preventative maintenance of laser cutters and associated equipment.
Procure materials to Job.
Assist with any problem solving that should arise from laser operations.
Help train production staff.

Laser Machine Programmer Job Requirements

Previous experience within a similar position
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrications and CNC machining.
Able to determine all manufacturing processes required to fabricate the product.
Ability to draw 2D parts using CAD software etc.
Radan software experience would be advantageous
Must live within a commutable distance of Milton Keynes
