Large Sheet Embossing / Die Cut Operator

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Large Sheet Finishing Operator to join our card manufacturing site, Printcraft, in Baildon. Printcraft manufactures the group's UK greetings cards, wrap and POS for stores. It is a forward-thinking business with state-of-the-art equipment operating a large site 24/7, producing around ¼ billion items per annum.

The business is in an exciting phase of growth and investment to cement our success for the next number of years. It is a great time to join the company while we operate lithographic print and finishing equipment to supply high quality, volume products.

Scope and Purpose of the Role

To operate various large sheet-finishing machines, including embossing machines, to their optimum. This role works on a 3-shift pattern, including earlies, lates, and nights. An excellent understanding of large sheet finishing of greeting cards along with a good eye for detail is required.

Role Responsibility

• Operators are multi-skilled to operate different machines, including being able to emboss.
• Operators need to have a practical approach and be confident at problem-solving.
• Excellent team working skills with a good attitude.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and Health & Safety within the department.

The Ideal Candidate

• Excellent knowledge of large sheet finishing/embossing equipment.
• Excellent practical and technical skills.
• Experience of operating state-of-the-art large machinery.
• Must be able to work to tight deadlines.
