Job Role: Large Format Production Operative

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 40 per week with overtime

About The Role:

Interprint are looking for an experienced Large Format Production Operative to join their friendly team. Working closely with other production operatives, you will utilize the company's printing and finishing equipment to produce high quality finished signs and banners. Undertaking hand finishing work such as hemming and eyeleting banners is also required to complete the signage manufacturing process, and make products ready for delivery.

Main Responsibilities of the Large Format Production Operative:

1. Receive print-ready artwork files from the studio, load into printing equipment and from job information provided. Print onto various sheet or roll fed material to quantity and quality required.
2. Cut materials printed using cutting files supplied with job information through Flat Bed cutter, ensuring correct cutting tools required for the specific material are used. In addition, using company vinyl cutting equipment to finish self-adhesive lettering and logos.
3. Laminate to various printed materials produced through the use of company laminating equipment, ensuring laminates are bubble free.
4. Hand-finishing of signs including hem and eyeleting of banners, placing banners into cases, applying various double sided tapes to back of signs. In addition to working with self-adhesive vinyls cut through equipment, strip and tape finished lettering and logos ready for application.
5. Packing of final products ready for shipping ensuring all parcels are robust and well packed. To include producing delivery notes and carrier labels ready for dispatch.
6. Assisting with loading vehicles for signs to be delivered by company transport or shipped by carriers which also includes unloading material deliveries for business.

Skills and Experience of the Large Format Production Operative:

1. Previous experience of working within a production environment.
2. Ideally at least 2 years' experience working as a Large Format Signage Production Operative.
3. Proven record of working as part of a team is essential.
4. Skilled in Flat Bed and Roll Fed Printing and cutting.
5. Vutek Printer and Zund cutter experience would be an advantage.
