landscape construction design coordinator

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Landscape Construction Design Coordinator to oversee our hard and soft landscape projects across London and the South East.

The ideal candidate will act as the liaison between design teams, landscaping team, and clients to ensure smooth project execution. This role will involve coordinating design efforts, document control, and providing support in both hard and soft landscape design.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Coordination
   • Collaborate with landscape architects, designers and project managers to ensure that landscape designs are implemented accurately on-site.
   • Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure materials and design plans are aligned with project requirements.
   • Support the preparation and review of designs for both hardscapes (paving, walls, pathways) and softscapes (planting schemes, lawns, gardens).
2. Project Management
   • Assist in planning and scheduling of landscape construction activities to meet project deadlines and budgets.
   • Attend site meetings and client presentations to report on design progress and implementation.
   • Troubleshoot any design or construction issues and work towards prompt resolution.
3. Document Control
   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all design-related documents, such as drawings, specifications, revisions, and project schedules.
   • Ensure proper version control and distribution of documents to all relevant parties.
   • Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing documents, coordinating approval workflows and revisions.
4. Collaboration
   • Work closely with the construction team to ensure design specifications are translated effectively on-site.
   • Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication throughout the project lifecycle.
   • Ensure health and safety requirements are incorporated into the design and construction process.
5. Quality Control
   • Review and approve construction documentation to ensure design integrity and compliance with company standards.
   • Conduct site inspections to ensure designs are being implemented according to the agreed specifications and quality standards.

Skills & Qualifications

1. Education
   • Degree or diploma in landscape architecture, landscape design, construction management, or a related field.
2. Experience
   • 3+ years of experience in landscape design coordination or project management.
   • Experience with both hardscape (e.g., paving, decking, walls) and softscape (e.g., planting, lawns) designs.
   • Familiarity with landscape construction practices and principles.
3. Technical Skills
   • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar.
   • Experience with document control software (e.g., Monday.com Aconex, Procore) or file management systems.
   • Strong knowledge of landscape construction materials and processes.
4. Soft Skills
   • Strong organisation and multitasking abilities.
   • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
   • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
5. Additional Requirements
   • Valid UK driving license.
   • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
   • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
