Job description

A client within the Private Sector based in Cheshire / Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for a Planning Consultant to join their Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a town planning environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to support senior staff and directors on major project work, manage small to medium-sized planning applications, and provide direct client advice on sites and projects.

Key Responsibilities Will Include But Not Be Limited To

  1. Assisting senior staff and directors to drive forward major projects.
  2. Managing small to medium-sized planning applications.
  3. Undertaking research and analysis.
  4. Preparing planning appraisals of land, buildings, and concepts.
  5. Drafting reports and planning submissions, including site assessments, policy notes, applications, development plan representations, and Environmental Statements.
  6. Liaising with planning officers, employees of consultee organisations, and third parties.
The Candidate To be considered for this role, you will require:

  1. A relevant degree qualification in planning or a related field.
  2. 5-10 years of experience working in the private or public sector.

Salary
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such is offering up to £50,000 per annum.
