Our client, one of the nation's leading waste and resource management companies, is looking to recruit a Supervisor to assist in the efficient day-to-day operation of a landfill site near Milton Keynes. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will help to ensure operations are carried out in a safe working environment and cost-effective manner, in accordance with all Group policies, and in compliance with all statutory regulations and requirements and to maximise the plant efficiency and cost-effective production. You will also ensure the site is operated in accordance with Environmental Permits.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manage plant and resources, including operatives.
2. Train and mentor site operatives and deal with performance and disciplinary issues under guidance from the Site Manager.
3. Operate mobile plant in a safe and efficient manner.
4. Ensure that plant and equipment are maintained, and records are completed.
5. Operate the weighbridge systems.
6. Communicate with customers and provide exemplary customer service.
7. Oversee the tipping operation.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications:

1. Experience of managing or supervising a team.
2. Experience in a similar role.
3. Good written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to work to deadlines.
5. Certificate of Technical Competence (CoTC) or equivalent desirable.
6. Full, valid driving licence.

Work hours are 37.5 hours per week, 6:45am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri.
