The Company
The company is a leading waste management organisation that manages over 10 sites across the UK. They specialise in energy production from landfill gas, producing over 150 GWh of electricity each year and are committed to providing renewable solutions to waste management.

The Role
In this role, no two days are the same. This is a varied position where you will be working on gas collection systems - from balancing to fault finding, as well as mechanical maintenance duties where you will be working on the power generation engines and associated equipment. Maintenance and service is both reactive and pre-planned, where you will receive training on all aspects of landfill.

1. Monitoring gas collection systems on landfill sites, including balancing of analysers and downloading data.
2. Maintenance, fault diagnosis, and breakdown of gas collection systems.
3. Power generation asset maintenance, including engines and generator sets.
4. Plant equipment maintenance (mechanical and electrical).
5. 24-hour emergency call out - 1 in 6 weeks.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a mechanical engineer with experience in working with engines - HGV, Diesel, Marine, Navy, Army, REME, etc. You should have:

1. Mechanical maintenance, service, and repair experience.
2. Motivated to train and develop.
3. IT literate with the ability to use a laptop.
