As a Safety Consultant in 'Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology' (ADS&T), you'll play a vital role in shaping your projects. Working alongside talented colleagues in related disciplines, you'll provide technical analysis of designs and processes, and lead key presentations. Working closely with clients, you'll be trusted to develop and implement strategies to solve their most complex problems.

Your purpose:

You will be eager to expand your knowledge and experience and be someone who thrives in an innovative and supportive environment. Your role will involve the delivering the following for Land Systems:

  • Understanding and interpretation of safety and engineering risks.
  • Problem Solving.
  • Innovation.
  • Analysis and presentation of coherent outputs.

What you can bring:

For you to successfully deliver as a Land Safety Consultant we require the following:

  • Working knowledge of safety regulations including Defence Safety Authority suite.
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation (UK and EU in particular) and its application to land systems.
  • Working knowledge of safety standards such as Defence Standard 00-056.
  • Proven record of managing safety and safety artefacts including safety management plans, hazard logs and safety case reports at platform or at system level.
  • Experience in interrogation of data systems to assess currency, integrity, and associated risks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation and presentation of reports to both internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge and awareness of other Defence safety disciplines (Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives for example).
  • Professionally registered at IEng or working towards it.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview.
