A fantastic opportunity for a Junior Buyer - Hybrid to work for a Ladies Fashion Retailer.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join a dynamic Buying team. You will be both creative and analytical, demonstrating a natural flair for design. The ideal candidate will need to be an expert in fashion, possessing a creative vision and the ability to predict and react to trends using in-depth market research and trend forecasters to support their decisions.

The role requires a combination of creativity, product knowledge, and strategic thinking, demonstrating a clear understanding of the customer that they are buying for. This is a unique opportunity working directly with the Buying Manager to produce contemporary capsule ranges for our Ladieswear category. The ideal person needs to be flexible and versatile, as they will be solely responsible for the administration and general daily duties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for developing and delivering the online product ranges alongside the buying manager.
2. Provide seasonal direction based on knowledge and trends.
3. Maintain and update critical path, proactively communicating any changes to the relevant teams.
4. Work closely with suppliers and build strong negotiation skills.
5. Lab dip and bulk approvals ensuring all key dates are met for on-time deliveries.
6. Solely responsible for all administration duties.
7. Ensure the completion of all paperwork from planning the ranges through to completing the final purchase orders; attention to detail is crucial.
8. Work collaboratively with teams across the business to maximize sales across all channels.
9. Regular shopping trips for inspirational trends, both in the UK and abroad.

Skills Required:

1. Experience in a similar role is essential, specifically in a Ladieswear Buying role.
2. Excellent eye for product with the ability to react to future fashion trends.
3. Exceptional attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
4. Marketplace commercial awareness.
5. Good analytical skills, utilizing sales information to improve overall sales.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Confident with strong presentation skills.
8. Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
9. Proactive in decision-making and problem-solving, with the ability to work under pressure.
10. Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
11. Experience in supplier negotiation.
