Job description

Are you looking for a hands-on role in the vehicle recycling sector? We have an immediate opportunity for a Semi-Skilled Mechanic/Labourer with a passion for vehicle mechanics and general labouring. This is a fantastic chance to join a small, friendly team in Hull, with the potential for long-term, permanent work for the right candidate.

Benefits:

  1. GBP11.44 per hour (+ holiday pay)
  2. Great working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am 4:30 pm, and 8:00 am 3:30 pm on Fridays
  3. 39 hours per week
  4. Friendly, supportive team environment
  5. Convenient location in Hull
  6. Opportunity for permanent position

Key Duties:

  1. De-polluting vehicles before they are reclaimed or salvaged (e.g., removing oil, fuel filters, etc.)
  2. Safely removing vehicle batteries, tyres, and other salvageable parts
  3. General labouring tasks to support vehicle processing operations

What We're Looking For:

  1. Some previous experience or qualifications in vehicle mechanics or a related field
  2. Familiarity with vehicle de-pollution and salvage processes is advantageous, but not essential
  3. A strong work ethic, ability to work as part of a team, and willingness to learn
  4. Ability to take initiative and complete tasks independently when required
