A well-renowned chemical development business based in Essex is currently recruiting a Lab Technician to join its team on a permanent basis. As their Analytical Technician, you will play an important role in performing testing activities for both the R&D and customer support teams.

This opportunity would suit a compliant candidate possessing current/previous experience in a QC Lab environment – carrying out method lead testing and following ISO 9001/14001 standards.

Lab Technician Responsibilities

1. Ensure that all equipment and materials are used in the safest possible way at all times.
2. Maintain the laboratory in a tidy and well-organised manner, to meet the requirements of 5S, and ensure efficient day-to-day operation.
3. Set up and maintain operating procedures for testing equipment.
4. Maintain a database for recording of test laboratory work.

Lab Technician Requirements

1. Previous Quality control/Laboratory Technician experience.
2. Experience in conducting Method lead testing, entering data, and accurately compiling reports (preferable).
3. ISO 9001/14001 experience is desirable.
4. Experience within a laboratory/test house setting.
