Consilium Recruit is exclusively partnering a leading manufacturing group to manage their recruitment of a Laboratory Technician to join the team. You will be responsible for supporting all chemical processes on site, ensuring customer specifications are met and developing new techniques.

Commutable from: Burnley, Blackburn, Manchester, Bolton, Rochdale, Accrington, Bradford, Wigan.

Salary: £26,000 - £33,000 p.a. + benefits.

Suitable for: Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Engineer, Test Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Chemical Technician.

The Role

1. Responsible for the testing, control and analysis of all chemical processes.
2. Responsible for developing and controlling all procedures related to the control of chemical processes.
3. Conduct annual reviews for all operators who are trained in chemical analysis.
4. Control of process chemicals on site, including usage, identification, storage and completion of records.
5. Responsibility for testing site environment levels for water treatment and waste.
6. Achieve high standards of quality in line with targeted levels of output whilst working safely and maintaining full product traceability.
7. Support the cell leader in training and transferring job skills and knowledge.
8. Develop new processes and techniques.

The Candidate

1. Strong knowledge of chemical analysis, testing and reporting.
2. Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
3. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
