Job description

Lab Technician

Near Aberdare

Permanent

Up to £27,500 per annum

My client based near Aberdare, who is a leading international supplier of custom-designed products, focused on high-quality and excellent service, is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct Tests and Analyses: Perform chemical and physical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to evaluate properties such as tensile strength, elasticity, and durability.
  2. Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet specified quality standards by identifying defects and recommending process improvements.
  3. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all tests and analyses, including data entry and report generation.
  4. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  5. Technical Support: Provide technical support to the production team and assist in troubleshooting issues related to materials.
  6. Research and Development: Assist in the development of new formulations and processes by conducting experiments and providing feedback.

Qualifications:

  1. A degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
  2. Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the polymer or manufacturing industry.
  3. Knowledge of ISO quality management systems is a plus.
