Job description

TP Tutors support vulnerable young people who struggle to access and engage in mainstream education. We help to bridge gaps in their learning, instil confidence in themselves and re-engage with education.

We are looking for educators committed to doing the same! We are recruiting for FQT, HLTA’s and SEN/ SEMH specialists to tutor on a 1:1 basis, in Witham, in English and Maths at a KS3 level.

This tutor role involves:

  • Working with children who have SEN/ SEMH needs or looked after (LAC).
  • Providing educational sessions face to face with children at their homes or a public space e.g. library, community centre, etc.
  • Planning resources around the child’s needs, developing their knowledge in core subjects such as Maths, English and Science.

You will need to:

  • Have QTS or be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or SEN/ SEMH experience!
  • Be highly engaging and able to build effective working relationships with children.
  • Manage and implement a range of behaviour strategies.
