Job Description

The English and Maths KS3 SEN Tutor will be responsible for providing tailored support and guidance to Key Stage 3 students with special educational needs. Duties include:

  1. Developing individualised learning plans.
  2. Delivering engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  3. Assessing student progress.
  4. Providing feedback to students and parents/guardians.
Minimum Requirements

A relevant teaching qualification, experience working with SEN students, and a strong understanding of the KS3 curriculum are essential for this role.

  • A degree in Education or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths to SEN students at the KS3 level.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SEN teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction.
  • Proficiency in assessing and tracking student progress.
  • Additional qualifications in Special Education Needs (SEN) or experience working with students with specific learning difficulties would be advantageous.

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, with the potential for flexible scheduling. The tutor will primarily work in an educational setting, providing support to students with SEN in English and Maths.
