Position: KS2 Teacher
Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: MPS, up to M6 (Pro Rata) depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire and motivate KS2 pupils.
  • Provide a balanced curriculum, focusing on both academic and personal development.
  • Prepare pupils for their end-of-key-stage assessments (SATs), ensuring high standards of progress and achievement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance pupils' learning experience.
  • Participate in whole-school events, extra-curricular activities, and staff meetings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the diverse needs of all pupils.
  • Passion for developing children's confidence, resilience, and love for learning.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with a commitment to maintaining high standards of behaviour.
  • Applicants must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Ability to supply two years' worth of references.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to working with parents and the wider school community.
