KS1 Teaching Assistant - Sandwich

Location: Sandwich, Kent

Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing

Salary: £90-£120 Per day

Are you a graduate who wants to become a teacher and needs classroom experience before applying for a PGCE course? Are you an experienced or newly qualified Teaching Assistant looking for a new role local to you in Sandwich? Do you have an enthusiastic, positive, and caring approach? Do you have experience of supporting children on a 1:1 basis across Key Stage 1?

Successful candidates can start ASAP and work through to the end of the school year, with the potential of this being extended and becoming a permanent member of staff.

Successful Candidates will:
  1. Have a team player approach
  2. Be adaptable and flexible
  3. Have experience of supporting children of all learning abilities
  4. Have strong behaviour management and good communication skills
  5. Provide continued support for the teacher within a chosen classroom
  6. Carry out one to one and/or small group work with students
  7. Provide tuition and booster sessions with pupils working at a lower ability or on the Special Educational Needs register
You will:
  1. Have either a Degree or Masters
  2. Experience on your CV where you have worked with students in some capacity (e.g., Youth Work, Teaching Assistant, University Ambassador, Graduate Tutor, etc.)
  3. Be passionate about working in a school
  4. Be ambitious with a strong yet outgoing and warm personality
  5. Be flexible and adaptable
  6. Have experience of working in KS1 Classroom Settings
