Job description

We are looking for a passionate and nurturing Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and committed team. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this is a fantastic opportunity to shape young minds during a vital stage in their education journey.

You’ll play a key role in developing core skills, building confidence, and laying strong foundations for lifelong learning in a supportive and engaging classroom environment. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a KS1 Teacher:
  1. Plan and deliver creative, high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  2. Foster a warm and inclusive classroom environment that supports both academic and personal growth.
  3. Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform your teaching.
  4. Support early phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy development.
  5. Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents/carers.
  6. Contribute to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and events.
Ideal KS1 Teacher:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  2. A good understanding of the KS1 curriculum, including phonics (e.g. Little Wandle, Read Write Inc).
  3. A passion for nurturing early learning and child development.
  4. Strong behaviour management and organisational skills as a KS1 Teacher.
  5. A reflective, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching.
