Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a dedicated KS1/KS2 Classroom Teacher for a long-term supply role. This position involves planning and delivering engaging lessons while fostering a positive learning environment for primary school students. The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience in primary education, particularly with KS1 and KS2 students. You will be responsible for assessing student progress, collaborating with colleagues, and adapting teaching methods to meet diverse needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Qualifications

Job description

KS1/KS2 Classroom Teacher
Long-term Supply
Bromley, London
£150/day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons to KS1/KS2 students
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate teaching strategies to cater to the diverse needs of primary school students
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall educational experience
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and other relevant information

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching in primary education, specifically with KS1 and KS2 students
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is advantageous
  • Current DBS check or willingness to obtain one
