RECRUITING – EXPERIENCED KITCHEN PORTER BASED IN EDINBURGH – PAYING £12.50 PER HOUR – HOURS ARE WORKING 5 OVER 7 DAYS 2PM – 6PM

The Company: Our client is a leading Facility Management and property maintenance company delivering integrated Building and Facilities Management Services, to a number of prestigious clients across the UK.

The Person req:

1. Duties will include all aspects of kitchen porter duties:
2. Post Washing – dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers.
3. Maintaining Kitchen Cleanliness – Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas. Empty rubbish bins and ensure disposed of in the correct manner.
4. Food Preparation – Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
5. Stores – Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients.
6. Health and safety – Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen ensuring equipment is in good working order.

Qualifications:

1. No formal education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred.
2. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
3. Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
4. Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus.
5. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
