Kitchen Assistant – Ware, Hertfordshire

Location: Westgate House Care Centre, Tower Road, Ware, Hertfordshire, SG12 7LP

Salary: £11.55 per hour, plus a 50p per hour weekend enhancement

Hours: 32 hours per week, 8am - 4.30pm / 10.30am - 7pm / 9.30am - 6pm, shifts across Monday to Sunday

About the role:

Assist with the preparation of meals
Assist with the cleaning of kitchen areas on a daily basis
Assist in washing crockery, cutlery, cooking and serving utensils, and kitchen equipment
Distribute to and collect crockery from the residents
Relay and clear tea trolleys where applicable
Accept and process kitchen deliveries, ensuring correct storage and inventory rotation
Maintain a clean and hygienic environment
Carry out any reasonable request or instruction from the Home Manager or Head Chef

About you:

The right to live and work in the UK
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work in a team, a caring nature, and a positive attitude
An understanding of Health and Safety, Infection Control, and COSHH
Previous experience of working in a similar position is desirable
